The Founders’ Award is given yearly to the employee who has most exemplified the best of Precision Optical over the past year. The winner is chosen by his or her fellow employees. The winner of the 2012 Founders’ Award is Adrian Hoyle.
Adrian is a Senior Optical Engineer here at Precision Optical. He has been with the company for almost a decade, having come to work for us after graduating with a B.S. in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is hybrid engineer that not only can think about new optical design, optical fabrication and optical manufacturing techniques, but he can physically oversee and work on jobs throughout the process. Adrian is an incredibly talented and dedicated employee who has been especially helpful to our optical assembly department, helping our optical assembly personnel to master new optical alignment techniques, refine procedures, and overcome challenges. These efforts, combined with his core strengths in Tooling Design, Optical Testing, Interferometry and his devout effort to support Precision Optical in any regard, has earned him the Founders Award for 2012. Whatever the challenge, Adrian is our go-to guy. He is among the foremost optical engineering experts in our field.
Moreover, Adrian is a kind and friendly person who is universally liked by all his fellow employees. He is a great asset to Precision Optical, and we are proud to have him on our team.
