The Founders’ Award is given yearly to the employee who has most exemplified the best of Precision Optical over the past year. The winner is chosen by his or her fellow employees. The winner of the 2012 Founders’ Award is Adrian Hoyle.

Precision Optical receives World Class Supplier Award from Northrop Grumman

In December of 2011, Precision Optical was awarded the prestigious World Class Supplier Award from Northrop Grumman. Out of thousands of Northrop Grumman suppliers, Precision Optical was the only optics supplier to receive the award.

LARGE OPTICAL FLAT ASSEMBLY

Precision Optical has recently expanded its capabilities to include the assembly of large optical flats into metal housing assemblies. The large optical flats are manufactured in house to meet exacting surface quality, flatness, and homogeneity specifications before being assembled for our customer’s application requirements.

Precision Optical to provide polished substrates for MATISSE

The NOVA-ASTRON Optical-Infrared Instrumentation group in The Netherlands is a national institute that develops instrumentation on world-class optical telescopes to serve the Dutch astronomical community. Currently MATISSE (Multi-AperTure Mid-Infrared SpectroScopic Experiment) is being built.
