This month Precision Optical had a visit from long-time friend and colleague in the industry Ty Guernsey. She was accompanied by Sales Engineer and 20-year employee Mike Milbrett . Ty and Mike received a full tour of Precision Optical’s new facility, and saw first-hand our custom optical manufacturing, metrology, thin-film coating, and precision optical assembly capabilities.
We talked about Ty and Peter Guernsey’s humble beginnings working out of their garage, picking up their first coating chamber at a garage sale, and building their company from the bottom up. We felt in similar company, Precision Optical being, at heart, a “Mom and Pop” shop. The Lambert boys, having lived part of their childhood in a camper behind Precision Optical, can relate. Both families are accustomed to the business becoming their home. Our relationship with Guernsey Labs dates back 25 years, and we look forward to continuing that relationship.
